When the Canberra and Capital Region Truffle Festival takes place the Canberra region hospitality industry gets on board and this year things are just continuing to grow in that regard. Throughout the festival (late June to early August) you can enjoy themed truffle degustations and truffle menus, truffle master classes, talks and cooking demonstrations. As the festival has continued to grow we now include a trail to the snow giving yet another way to experience truffles, as well as the work of renouned Canberra chefs.

We are blessed to have 3 markets this year presenting locally grown truffles and making them available to the local Canberran.
The Fyshwick Markets have truly embraced the Festival and have gone out of their way to make truffles and truffle product accessible to everyone. In addition to selling fresh locally grown truffle, the markets will be doing free truffle demonstrations at ground level, every Sunday throughout the festival from 10.30-11.30 as well as incorporating other store holders – from the Mart Deli to Plonk (who will be talking about wine & truffle matching). The Capital Region Farmers Market will have local truffle growers selling at a stall, and also have a cooking demonstration on Saturday the 6th of July, featuring local Minister, Andrew Barr. The farmers market is held every Saturday morning at Exhibition Park in Canberra from 8am to 11am. Read more to find about the themed truffle day coming up.
